Translating children’s books: the challenge
Upbility’s texts consist of simple and concise sentences and are added to with images, often essential for understanding the context and translating appropriately. To tackle this, I perform the Italian translation directly in the formatted file, ensuring all images are properly integrated, using software like Adobe InDesign or Canva.

Another feature of Upbility’s e-books is that they often contain language games and exercises to improve reading or pronunciation of specific sounds. Not all these games can be replicated in Italian, which often requires adapting the text to suit the specifics of the Italian language like in the example below, taken from one of my translations.
